After Richie Kotzen was kicked out of Poison, he teamed up with fellow shred-guitarist Greg Howe to record Tilt, an album that was nearly half-a-decade behind the times. Filled with fretboard heroics in the vein of Eddie Van Halen and Allan Holdsworth, Tilt lacks any memorable songs; it is comprised of nothing but hot-shot guitar playing. Granted, some of the playing is impressive, but the two guitarists sound like they're fighting each other, not playing. Consequently, there's nothing on Tilt to appeal to anyone but the most fanatical guitar aficionados.
