Preludio Ancestral formed in 2002, with another name: Celestial Dream. The band changed his name to Preludio Ancestral in 2005 when they decided to take other musical directions. The name Preludio Ancestral was taken from two opposite words: "Prelude" (what is to come) and "Ancestral" (what happened). A nice merger to express the mindset we have today, a good balance. Leonardo L. Gatti Leader and Founder at that time took his first steps with Javier Valenzuela on bass, Melisa Gatti on keyboards, William Ferreira on drums and Romina Cáceres on vocals. By that time the band used to play hard rock musical style but day after day, the new compositions were rapidly becoming into power metal style and there were many members who have played in Preludio and have helped what the band is today. Preludio Ancestral has performed live in several shows both capital and in the province of Bs.As Argentina. In 2003 the band released a demo with 6 songs named: Sueño Celestial (Celestial Dream). In 2005 the guitar player Sebastian Nunez enters the band giving a touch more power to their music and near the actual style of Preludio Ancestral (Ancestral Prelude) They were needing something more powerful for the drums at the time, and for this reason the band decided to add a fast and very good drummer with the double bass kick, the attendant was Mauricio Luque. It took them a long way with this production, made 2 demos CDs: "Aún más que mi sol", consisting of 3 songs and "Dar en la melodía exacta" an album consisting of 9 songs. One of the most notable formations that have come to distinguish the scene was with: Gaston Guillen's vocals, Luca Medina on keyboards, Marcos Ortiz on drums, Javier Valenzuela on bass and Sebastian Duarte on the other guitar . This line-up lasted from early 2012 until mid-2013. After twists and turns, performing live on many dates, the band was needing something more than what they already had, they wanted something different and something also a bit more demanding. That's when after some members changes and with others who decided to leave the band Preludio ended changing almost all its members except one, Leonardo Gatti (Preludio's founder)
